Patron of the South Australia Wing

The South Australia Wing of the Australian Air League is pleased to announce their patron, Rear Admiral The Honourable Kevin Scarce, AC, CSC

Rear Admiral Scarce served as the 34th Governor of South Australia and first met the South Australian Wing cadets at their linkup with astronauts on the International Space Station.

 

South Australia Wing Receives Significant Grant

The South Australia Wing has been awarded a grant from the Sir Ross and Sir Keith Smith Fund to further the interest in Aviation in its cadets.

Funds have been received to support education activities, air experience including flying and flight simulator activities. In addition Sir Ross and Sir Keith Smith Fund are financially supporting a flying scholarship. OC SA Wing, Group Commissioner Martin Ball stated that the whole Wing was thrilled with the support from the Sir Ross and Sir Keith Fund.
