Joining

You can join as soon as you've had your 8th birthday and you can remain as a cadet until you turn 18. You may then undergo Officer training if you would like to remain in the Australian Air League.

The Australian Air League offers challenges, friendship and adventure! It’s an opportunity to expand horizons, contribute to the community and make friends for life. Many former cadets credit their participation in the program with giving them a head start toward their successful careers. The program we run is so diverse that even if aviation is not your major interest you will still enjoy yourself.

But don't just take our word for it! Come along one of the Squadron’s Parade Nights and see the Australian Air League in action! Details on each Squadron's parade times and contact details can be found in the Squadron Directory. It is advisable that you contact the Squadron first to make sure that they will be meeting on that particular night and that they aren't on an outing or camp. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact the Wing using the Enquiry Form.

You may take part is the Squadron’s activities for a three weeks without cost or obligation. After that you should be ready to decide whether the Australian Air League is for you.
